Christmas Eve notes! Unfortunately it's about Global Creativity and Media Agencies

Right! it has nothing to do with Christmas things, but it has to do with the ads that attract people to celebrate it with the goods that's being advertise. how should i start? This are some of the notes that i've jot down about evolution of advertising world. What's happening around us? First of all, ads are basically mostly have to based on humanity in order to successfully attract people into it. I was told that Sony was used to fail because of the ignorance of humanity where the marketing of products into a society required humanity to persuade people to purchase the products. However people are not using the traditional advertising mediums anymore because there's not much people using traditional social media nowadays. People don't really sit down and watch television as frequent compared to the past few years. In fact Malaysia still using lots of money on advertising which almost reaches 9 to 10 billions a year. But somehow, tradition agency ads are moving towards the end now because of the technology improvement that has bring us to move out from tradition.

What is a Dadist?

Despite from discussing the art that presented nowadays, why don't we move a little backwards and look for the source of the creativity of art from the past.So now lets see a very special word that i've learned, Dadaist. Dada or Dadaism is an European artistic and literary movement (1916-1923)which mostly more on poetry that flouted conventional aesthetic and cultural values by producing those works marked by nonsense. Their concept is nonsense because of Dada is a type of works which is a way to express the confusion that was felt by many people during the War, as their world was turned upside down. So in short, it wasn't an artwork in fact it was an anti-art works because the main purpose is to protest against the Barbarism of the War. Dada has no meaning-interpretation which means it's all depends on the viewer.

The first picture right up there was the Salvador Dali's painting, second was Rene Maggrite, third was Neville Brody and lastly was painted by Max ernst. These were the examples of Dadaist painters. Actually Dadaism had created photomontage who was by Raoul Haussman and it created juxtaposition indirectly too by joining two different images into a piece of work. The ideas that they had mostly were from the experiences that had been through.

Random Association

I like this subject because we just need to use a simple random word to solve any subject matter and this is an opportunity to diverge our vision when facing the obstacles. It eventually broaden and widen our point of view because we have to change the path of the regular one that we are comfortable with and most importantly it has to be tag along which means show commitment during the idea enhancement in order for people to respond on our artwork. So basically it's related on psychological idea to create an artwork with random words to spark up some interesting and different ideas.

Juxtaposition

Well well well, What is juxtapostition? I'm not that clear either, all i know is that Juxtaposition is used in our creative multimedia to create an artwork that can be connected with the audience. It is partly based on experiences and the knowledge from the past to distinguish whether is this a juxtaposition product or just a typical one.
IN CONCLUSION! it is basically same as metaphor or simile. Create something new which can make contact with people by using proper context with a metaphor product is the one which considered as good design.

This is one of the example that i found in google search.
So, what do you think it means here? i guess i should leave this picture for the people out there to interpret yourself. Think about it.

This is the 3 types of ways that i used mortar and pestle as something else
So the 1st one will be COMMUNICATION where the it can be a morse code system where the  mortar as the base and the pestle as the clicking tool to create the different speed of the sound to represent those words.
2nd will be the FURNITURE where it can be build as a sofa where the mortar as the seats and the pestle as the  handle on the sofa.

The 3rd one will be a punishment tool where the children can be punished to hold the  mortar and the pestle the head but NOT ON THE HEAD.

week 6 - Mortar n Pestle

I don't know why is this mortar and pestle is so important that it so happen my lecturer keep using it as our inspiration tool but somehow it wasn't a bad idea at all. It doesn't really have to make sense when doing this mind map. In fact nothing is wrong when the logical sense is there. So let us see what can we do with this mortar and pestle.

week 5- mind map

So this is Tony Buzan, the person who created a way to do expand the way of people think which called mind map. He used mind map to teach us on how to think better and memorize faster. However, i agreed on my lecturer said that this type of learning could expand our creativity in doing art stuff.
Art cannot be control by using mind map because it is beyond the thing that we can think of.
